This site is great. I made a similar flash version of the map you are using but it doesn't work as well as yours.
How did you manage to make the google map link to your blog posts? C'est genial!
Would this work in wordpress?

@james - I did a bit of PHP coding, creating my own Wordpress page templates for each travel guides. This allowed me to manage the code of the map outside the Wordpress editor...
Regarding Flash, I believe such plugin as http://kimili.com/plugins/kml_flashembed/wp could let you add some Flash directly in the Wordpress editor.
